We use a FTO software solution to identify the tones
broadcasted over the scanners witch in return would open up the firefighter’s
pagers and set off their sirens. Fire-Tone out Operation allows the scanner to
operate in a standby mode and respond to fire tone-outs, a system comprised of
standardized two-tone sequential paging, short one-tone paging, and long group
tone paging. We can save an unlimited number of these tone sets to follow and
record the audio with the amount of time we specify. Currently 30 seconds. When our receivers pick up the correct tones
it starts recording the audio. When finished it sends it immediately to the
scanerie.com server without delay in small .mp3 format. Our system will also
allow us to send the audio via MMS and SMS or email as well! 90% of all phones
out there can receive .mp3 audio and the files are so small. This is something we
are looking to do in the near future.
If you are in Erie County Pennsylvania and you know any of
the MOTOROLA QUICK CALL , PLECTRON, or Two-Tone
Hz Frequencies (tone codes for your Motorola minitor pagers) please send me
info! If you know a Dispatcher you might be able to get a list of tones! That
would be great. I'm looking for the tone frequencies that set off your fire
pagers and the tone set that sets off your siren. Why?
Many departments only set off the Siren for Fire and Rescue
runs. So using the Siren two-tone frequency
will eliminate capturing ems runs. I have some info!
